Hallberg Butterfly Garden Open House June 28, 2015

FREE family event and a homegrown Sonoma County institution. Hallberg Butterfly Gardens was started as a personal passion for butterflies, and evolved over time into a preserve designed to educate people about butterflies and create a preserve where they are nurtured and protected in an ideal habitat. Every year Louise Hallberg opens her gardens to school classes and the public for tours, instruction, and to marvel at the wonder of these magical insects.

Tours are also available by appointment throughout spring and summer. On Sunday, June 28th there will also be lectures on the butterfly life cycle, wildlife gardening and habitat preservation. Local butterflies and host plants will be on display, and butterfly-habitat plants will be for sale. Self-guided walking tours throughout the 9 acres of garden are encouraged. There will be a staffed kids craft table…books, crafts, drinks and souvenirs for sale from 10am to 4pm. 8687 Oak Grove Road (across from Oak Grove Elementary School), in Graton/Sebastopol
Parking shuttle available; Limited wheelchair. Please, no smoking or pets.
